The Beautiful Asian Community of San Francisco

Yesterday I took my girlfriend’s beat up Canon Rebel camera and headed to the Heart of San Francisco. Chinatown. It reminded me of my childhood in NYC’s Chinatown in the 90’s except as my Japanese friend Justine says, “much cleaner.” I’ve been talking to my Asian homies about how I can appreciate and not appropriate. They let me know that my heart and intentions were in the right place and as a POC- they love to see the solidarity. So for my NYU first project , because of all of the Hate Crimes happening- I decided to highlight the joy and beauty of this culture. With love & respect.
